Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:

As a Learning Tribes Instructional Designer you will work directly with the CEO, COO and the digital production team on diverse projects serving some of the world’s best-known brands. In this role you will make your contribution to the success of Learning Tribes’ solutions and our client’s initiatives by:  

  • Leading projects and communication plans for program/curriculum design and development
  • Conducting needs assessments and facilitating design sessions with various stakeholders, subject matter experts and contracted multi-media production specialists
  • Involvement in creating proposals, and determining project scope and budget
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art instructional design techniques and strategies to develop scripts, storyboards, presentations, worksheets, job aids, assessments and evaluations
  • Designing/developing content and materials to be used in the company's and/or client’s learning management system (LMS)
  • Designing/developing content for e-learning/Web-based training, instructor-led and self-paced learning modalities
  • Facilitating train the trainer programs as needed
  • Lending a helping hand where needed
     

Typical Qualifications:

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Experience Target:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and development of instructor-led and web-based training

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced PPT) and ability to learn technology quickly
  • Experience developing content with authoring tools such as Articulate (Storyline, Rise, 360), Captivate, Camtasia, etc.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and HTML principles preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills in working with a diverse population
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong technical writing skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Strong Time Management skills

 

Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of contact center/customer experience industry
  • High customer service orientation
  • Knowledge of and practical application of Adult Learning Theory and instructional design principles
  • Ability to facilitate focus groups, usability sessions and subject matter expert interviews as well as identify and document key themes emerging from these activities
  • Ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced and time-critical environment 

 

Travel Required:

  • 5-10%
