Job Description

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities: 

Under general supervision, responsible for the activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports.  This is an intermediate skill level position with no supervisory responsibility.  Position may provide functional advice or training to less experienced Accountant positions.   Responsibilities could be in general accounting or focus on budgets, SOX compliance, tax, treasury, payroll, cost, billing, financial planning, or other related discipline.

 

Education:

Four-year degree in Accounting or Business.

 

Experience Target:

Two to four years of Accounting or Finance experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with all elements of the balance sheet (accruals, cash, inter-company, equity, debt, intangibles, etc.).

Technical accounting skills. Computer skills, including strong Excel (ability to do pivot tables, links, lookup function and basic macros) and Access skills. Demonstrated ability to retrieve and download data from a financial system.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.  Ability to analyze anomalies in accounts.  Proven ability to meet deadlines, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end.  Ability to present findings confidently to peers and management.

 

Software:   

Oracle, ADP Report Smith, Ceridian, and Business Objects knowledge is a big plus.
