Job Description

We are looking for someone to work, on a temporary basis (about 3 months), with our IT support team. This position can be part-time or full-time depending on your availability. 


  • Respond to IT support ticket requests, addressing SU’s internal IT needs and demands. Procure, install, configure, and debug staff computer hardware and software, Software-as-a-Service subscriptions, videoconferencing, telephony, and printing equipment, and networking systems.

  • Onboard and offboard SU staff, faculty, consultants, and contractors as required by the business. Provide staff training and instructional documentation where beneficial.

  • Improve the efficiency of SU Tech Ops through projects of internal systems automation, monitoring, and directory services.


  • Excellent communications and customer service skills.

  • Excellent technical hardware and software system debugging skills.

  • Ability to code in at least one scripting or high level programming language.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently with technical and non-technical people.

  • Experience in a position that required IT, desktop, or computing system support.
  • Skilled and proficient in personal computer/laptop management in addition to administering shared software services on behalf of users. Familiarity with Google Apps or equivalent in a professional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and operate in a fast-paced work environment.
