About the role – Are you ready?

As a Change Manager within the Program Management Office, your role will be to assist Optus Business deliver strategic business outcomes by leading, prioritising and managing all the necessary cross-functional resources. Your exceptional knowledge and skills will contribute to driving change, and deliver value to our customers.


Located at our Macquarie Park campus, this fantastic 12 months fixed term opportunity will focus in the delivery of Change Management across several enterprise wide Tier 1 & 2 AOP initiatives. In this role, you may be working towards enacting change autonomously and/or as part of a larger change team. You will be required, on occasions, to define the scope and manage deliverables, understand and handle resistance to change, and engage cross-functional diverse stakeholders to build a common vision of the initiative deliverables. Your will be assisting with driving and managing the levels of change required in implementing a transformation project, and communicate a clear vision with stakeholders to ensure maximum adoption is achieved.


Your duties will include:

  • Executing or assisting with Change Management on key Optus projects
  • Working with project sponsors and business owners to combine different initiatives into a coherent launch, and embedding strategy of the selected programs


This is a critical role dedicated to the realisation of business objectives, and the successful candidate will need to be able to manage multiple stakeholders, Change Managers and Business Leads with competing demands, and a diverse and demanding project pipeline. To be successful in the role, you will need to move seamlessly from design to execution; be highly proactive, resilient and flexible, and highly experienced in presenting to a wide number of groups and stakeholders.

We really need you to possess:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Project and/or Change related role; experience within a large enterprise setting and dealing with complex change
  • Experience in working/supporting a large & dynamic organization.
  • Experience in Change Management principles & methodologies
  • Prosci Change Management certified
  • Knowledge & strong understanding of technology across IT & telecommunications
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
  • Strong collaboration & business partnering skills
  • Strong analytical & problem analysis and solving skills
  • Advanced negotiation & consulting skills
  • Highly developed presentation skills; including experience presenting to both large & senior audiences
  • Well-developed workshop & facilitation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Experience in communicating & influencing at all levels
