 Reporting to the Director, Retail Operations, this role is accountable for the strategy, design, transition and operational performance of technology in to the Optus’ 360+ branded stores; 170+ company owned and approximately 200 licensed/franchised.

 

 To be successful in this role, you will require strong influencing and leadership skills to manage and co-ordinate key stakeholders to ensure delivery of AOP and operational performance in line with required service levels.

 

The key responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop strategies for the enhancement of Retail applications, end user computing and networks
  • Leads, directs, and plans the research, design, development and implementation of technology solutions for Retail 
  • Monitor information systems to ensure effective and efficient computer operations and support applications are maintained

 

Successful people come from diverse backgrounds and the skills we look for include:      

 

  • 10 years professional experience in a similar IT position
  • Good understanding of the Retail Operations and Telco experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, supporting remote sites
  • Advanced stakeholder management, interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Experience in all levels of vendor and budget management
  • Passion for leadership and developing high performing  technical teams
  • Thrives on solving problems quickly and creatively
  • High degree of initiative and pro-activie attitude and attention to detail
