About the role – Are you ready?

As an Associate Technical Specialist, your primary purpose in this role is to facilitate the delivery of managed services and technical support for Cisco Unified Communications & Contact Centre technologies according to Optus Business service delivery models and contracted service level agreements.

 

Located at our Brisbane office, the team operates within an environment based on industry best practices for Service Management with ITIL being the framework to achieve this; the team is based on customer premise and works together in unison with the customer to achieve shared goals and business outcomes.

 

The position is based within the Technical Operations group which is positioned within Optus Business Integrated Client Services. The Technical Operations division provides support and delivery of ICT services to a wide range of external clients in the Australian market who may have infrastructure located in overseas data centres and/or branch offices. Services range from fully managed ICT infrastructure service offerings to support for vendor and third-party maintenance agreements.

 

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include event management, the initial triage and troubleshooting of incidents as well as the implementation of service requests and approved changes.

What does success look like?

We really need you to posses:

  • Technical & Operational background with a minimum of 5 years contact centre experience
  • Cisco, Verint or NICE vendor certifications
  • Thorough understanding of ITIL and extensive experience working in an ITIL environment
  • Customer and vendor management skills.
  • Business and technical skills – a trusted advisor.
  • Troubleshooting & analytical skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure, work autonomously & exercises a high level of initiative
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Strong and demonstrable team ethic
  • Takes ownership of problems and actions, and shows persistence in delivering project outcomes in the face of adversity
