Are you ready?


The Implementation Specialist Engineer (Contact Centre) provides technical specialist skills as they relate to developing and managing day to day ‘pre’ and ‘post’ Contact Centre (CC) sales opportunities to grow CC COE (Optus) revenue.


In this hands-on and fast paced role, you will develop and implement Contact Centre solutions while working closely with CC COE Architects, Optus Business (OB) Sales, OB Solutions Consultants, Sales Engagement (SE), Business Development Managers (BDMs), and external vendors.


What makes you perfect for the role?


  • Tertiary qualification in an ICT or Engineering discipline with solid customer and vendor management skills;  
  • A solid  ICT technical & Operational background with a minimum of 3 years’ Contact Centre Engineering Implementation experience most likely gained with a specific vendor or leading management consultancy / shared services business;
  • Solid technical experience with Verint and also other relevant contact entre technologies;  
  • Hands-on technical lead delivery skills and commercial acumen;
  • Experienced in hybrid TDM voice & IPCC integration project design and implementation;
  • Knowledge of major Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) solutions including, Cisco, Avaya, NEC and Alcatel;
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly document detailed customer requirements and possible solutions for discussion with CC COE team members, other Optus workgroups, Design Architects, Engineering groups, Vendors, Capital Evaluation and Legal;
  • Strong multi-disciplinary, commercial focus and proven track record in business development and product with a strong technical, operational, engineering, financial and legal acumen;
  • Technically confident in ‘setting-up’, configuring and conducting live CC COE solution customer presentations, industry forums and conferences, where technical resources to assist may be limited;
  • Specific vertical industry domain knowledge (Finance, Banking, Insurance, Government, Health, etc.); and
  • Knowledge and understanding of the importance on interfaces, systems and programming languages, such as - JTAPI, TAPI, ASP, .NET, JAVA. HTML, VXML.
