About the role – Are you ready?

As the State Manager, Professional Services in Queensland, you’ll be accountable for the outcomes of numerous multiple, large scale projects OB are delivering across a diverse customer and technology base. These will either be as part of a new service we are introducing or as additional services to current customers. You will manage a number of Professional Services Managers (PSMs), themselves managing teams of Project Management professionals.

 

You’ll work closely with senior technologists, product owners, sales and lines of business at a strategic and executive level. You’ll be focused on increasing the efficient, billable utilisation of your large and varied team, via your immediate PSMs,, through innovating and visionary leadership.

 

You will need to identify where projects can take a new turn, introduce further change or add value to a customer’s environment and business. You will form close alliances with the Delivery organisation to understand a customer’s strategy and support Delivery, as a trusted advisor in “selling up” small and medium scale projects that can help customers.

 

As the State Manager, Professional Services you will also have a raft of capabilities that fall outside of Projects, such as knowledge of how to position additional services that complement what we are already providing for customers.

 

What does success look like?

We expect that you will have significant and demonstrable experience in leading Project teams, either as a Professional Services Manager, Portfolio Manager or Program Manager.

 

It is paramount that have a history of building sustainable relationship, challenging the norm, supporting open dialogue and look to drive people and teams through projects, in a manner that will ensure their delivery to time/budget and minimise overrun and penalties. You must be able to act with agility in process and navigate challenges to get the swiftest outcomes, whilst delivering to standard and in a manner that does not risk customers services.

 

We also require you to be able to demonstrate experience of:

 

  • Project Management Professional (construct, governance and performance
  • Strong understanding of ITIL V3
  • 6Sigma & Lean, Agility driven projects
  • Contracts Management – basic requirements and commitments
  • Experience working with a recognised project management methodology
  • Complex multi-platform and high demand ICT technologies
  • Applications Management, design and use (server/mobile)
  • Enterprise Voice & IP Telephony
  • Contact Centre (CCaaS), Security (software), Unified Comms (UCaaS)
  • Cloud, DC and collaboration solutions
  • Wireless network
  • LAN & WAN Infrastructure
