Are you ready?

 

This role is part of the Content & TV team reporting to the Content Marketing Manager. The role will collaborate with the other content marketers, the Music, Fetch and Entertainment Product Managers, social media team and more to achieve a cohesive, coordinated and comprehensive entertainment narrative and plan.

 

In this hands-on and fast-paced role you will be responsible for -

 

  • Developing and delivering scalable content marketing strategies, plans and calendars that support sales, marketing & engagement objectives;
  • Ensure a comprehensive content marketing narrative exists and is executed on in support of Optus’ entertainment content;
  • Collaborating with Product Managers and Marketing, Advertising and Brand teams to ensure a coordinated marketing presentation of entertainment content assets;
  • Growing the audience and engagement across Optus’ varied exclusive and non-exclusive properties;
  • Sourcing, producing and ingesting content assets to distribute and amplify across a variety of platforms;
  • Applying analytics and insights to maximise content value, deliver higher quality response outcomes with improved conversions rates;
  • Building subject knowledge across the entertainment industries and content marketing to be a SME that is actively sought across the business to inform and educate on the category;
  • Identify and support the implementation of new content marketing technologies to improve the delivery of content to multiple audiences across multiple platforms;
  • Supporting the Content Marketing Manager and TV & Content Director with the ongoing development of quarterly product marketing plans;
  • Working with the TV & Content leadership team to support the creation and ongoing maintenance of the 5-year TV & Content strategy; and
  • Supporting the achievement of financial and customer KPIs for entertainment content products including the monitoring and analysing of metrics to inform tactical response and strategic changes.

 

Your checklist for success in the role...

 

  • Tertiary qualified in a Marketing, advertising or Business discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing communications, agency account management or advertising creative  environment;
  • Solid experience in either the telecommunications, communications or television industry;
  • Complimentary telecommunications or television industry experience
  • An understanding of content creation and iIn-depth knowledge of customer segmentation;
  • Experience in marketing campaign creation and management based on deep customer insight
  • Marketing plan development (product, pricing, promotion, distribution) and P&L / Budget management experience;
  • Complex stakeholder management, leadership and people management skills; and
  • Excellent technical marketing skills, particularly with regard to analysis, customer segmentation and value proposition development.
