About the Role – Are you ready?

Optus Business (OB) Sales have moved to a new State based operating model, which has seen the creation of this State Sales Operations Manager role.

 

As the State Operations Manager you’ll play a key role within OB sales, in a critical role to the development, implementation and ongoing support of all operational aspects of the State Sales teams, across our Frontline Sales and Product Groups.

 

As a pivotal member of the sales management team, you’ll play a key role in supporting and driving sales business objectives and strategy, alignment and growth across the State. It will significant internal stakeholder management primarily with State Directors, Sales Directors, Sales Managers, Product Leaders, and other support groups, providing business intelligence, guidance and insights on performance improvement.

 

Other key focus areas will be:

 

  • Supporting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Development and Review Processes
  • Working with Sales Leaders and Operations on setting Sales targets
  • Supporting Sales processes, validation, and governance
  • Facilitating Sales rhythm, cadence, and forecasting on respective sales team’s portfolios
  • Sales performance measurements across the state, working closely with Sales and Product Leaders, Rewards and Reporting team, and Finance to produce meaningful Business Performance Reviews (BPR)
  • Identify and Lead continuous improvements to sales enablement and methodology

About You…What does success look like?

We expect that you will probably have worked in a Sales environment and have an impressive pedigree working in sales operations’ management roles. As a result, you should have a strong understanding of the dynamics behind sales teams; how effective teams perform, how to measure and analyse performance and how to develop meaningful insights from that analysis.

 

We’re looking preferably for someone with experience in mobile, data and IT products in a sales operations capacity and someone who can effectively manage a variety of demanding interstate stakeholders. You’ll have excellent leadership, communication, and problem management skills, as well as the highly developed analytical ability, that an operations role requires.
