We are Silicon Labs.  We are a leading provider of silicon, software and solutions for a smarter, more connected world. We are seeking an experienced Field Marketing Manager to support sales and marketing functions to grow revenue for products within the IoT business unit through design in activity.  The Field Marketing Manager will focus on revenue growth for the business unit with clear objectives to: win new designs, develop key customer relationships, and train partners, all in collaboration with the regional sales team. 



Specific Functions

  • Develop enticing post-launch collateral for IoT products
  • Facilitate and enable advertising decisions with corporate marcom
  • Drive the mass marketing goal through interaction with channel partners
  • Primary contact in region for tech show / conference drivers with cross BU support
  • Support sales, FAEs and customers to achieve Design In targets
  • First-line contact for BU pricing responsibility
  • Regional forecasting of MCU and Wireless business
  • Identify and connect strategic customers to product marketing and management.
  • Develop field marketing programs or tools that will help acquire new customers, retain & grow existing customers, and deliver growth across key customer segments
  • Develop and deliver seminars and hands-on workshops to the channel partners and key customers
  • Travel within the region (typically 2-3 days a week on average)

  • You will represent the voice of the customer & market within the European Region
  • You will have the ability to drive product improvements for some of the top technology companies around the world that leverage our chips
  • You will drive BU pricing responsibility with your deep knowledge of the market



Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering + 5 years of industry experience in a customer facing role such as technical sales, FAE, or segment marketing.
  • Will accept Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering + 7 years of industry in a customer facing role in lieu of MS + 3.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a customer facing role with wireless semiconductor products
  • Experience with MCU applications, basic peripherals, and high level system design.
  • Well versed in RF markets (Cellular, WiFi, BT/BLE, ZigBee, etc)
  • Experience interacting with engineers and customers on a technical level to open new opportunities, advance opportunities through the sales funnel, and win designs.
  • Experience of reporting on activity and market requirements to management


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced understanding of IC architectures, RF circuits and MCU products.
  • Knowledge of RF network, RF tools, and their application in order to access detailed customer specific system requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of MCU’s (8-bit and 32-bit), MCU tools and their application in order to access detailed customer specific system requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard procedures and documentation for RF and MCU products.
  • Outstanding customer interaction skills.
  • Excellent English communication & presentation skills (written and verbal).
