Job Description

Manages a specific geographic area in regards to sales promotion, new business development and sales facilitation for both OEM and distribution sales channels. Focus on revenue achievement, forecasting and customer satisfaction with the field sales team.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists sales organization in providing technical and administrative product information.
  • Works with marketing and sales representatives to develop and document sales quotations.
  • Coordinates with Sales Representatives to provide sales documentation and satisfy customer requirements.
  • Determine the appropriate sales channel for new orders and manage the quoting and order process with precision, clarity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a POS database for a specific geographic region.
  • Occasional travel on an as needed basis to establish improved working relationships with key customers.
  • Scheduling and hosting customer visits.
  • Develop policies and procedures for distribution. Policies include rules of engagement regarding lead time, quotes, margin guidance, training, inventory levels, etc. Act as the corporate figure head for setting policies.
  • Travel to distribution corporate HQ and major market areas to drive the distribution program and work issues.
  • Maintain and upkeep distribution contact lists at both distribution and sales representatives.
  • Develop a distribution quarterly sales plan/budget with Director of Sales or ASM for a geographic area.
  • Generate revenue to plan quarterly variance reports by division and product line. Publish to Sales, Marketing and Distribution Management. The budget should include revenue, design wins and number of customers.
  • Publish key target distribution customers and push for accurate forecasts from the distributors on a monthly basis.
  • Weekly corporate communication on the status of key customers for purposes of generating accurate Revenue Outlook meeting.
  • Develop a design registration program and train local Regional Sales Managers and local sales representation on the mechanics of such program.
  • Participate in the development of price lists with the Director of Sales Operations and Marketing to ensure success of the design registration program.
  • Determine the appropriate sales channel for new orders and manage the quoting and order process with precision, clarity and efficiency.
  • Manages, perhaps through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.
    Education and/or Experience:
    A related bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and a minimum of 8 years of related experience. An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience required.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong familiarity with SAP
  • Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing process and lead times
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to problem solve routine issues
  • Strong knowledge of QS0300 Contract Review
  • Familiar with Internal Audit Sales Documentation
  • Familiar with accounting processes and GAAP
  • Excellent people skills
