Industry Solutions Group

Aerospace and Defense Design Engineer

Aerospace and Defense Design Engineer

As an intern in the Industry Solutions group, you will apply and develop your MCAD and/or ECAD skills while working with an actual aircraft 3D CAD model. Your work will involve design work, systems work and the use of relevant Product Data Management tools. You will have the opportunity to work with A&D Industry engineering professionals and leading MCAD and ECAD tool experts within our organization while you gain valuable real world experience, including:

* Generating detailed 3D component designs within existing aircraft structure


* Incorporating and/or converting existing structural components to composite parts


* Generate detailed schematic and 3D wire harness designs within existing aircraft structure


* Integrating wire harness design with existing aircraft electronics (pin to pin connections)


* Generating relative product and bill of materials data associated with design work


* Attending NX MCAD tool training and mentoring as required


* Attending Mentor Capital ECAD tool training and mentoring as required


* Attending Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management tool training and mentoring as required



Organization Requirements:

*
* At least a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
*
* Existing MCAD and/or ECAD (wire harness) experience required


* NX MCAD experience preferred, but not required


* Mentor Capital ECAD experience preferred, but not required


*
