Job Description:

Position Overview

* This position is located in Orlando, FL.
* Intern - Strategic Procurement Department. The candidate will support Category Management Project focused on generating strong Sourcing Strategies in order to reduce Total Cost of Ownership and supply risks, through the implantation of management tools, KPI's, creation of an OWNERSHIP mindset for the Purchasers, SQA's and Technology team and elimination of subjectivity in the sourcing decisions. Active participation during C-parts RFQ and price comparison process is also expected as well as ability to write procedures, design work flows and create/update KPI of the area in accordance with management orientation.

Responsibilities:

* Support Category Management project with active participation in C-parts contract review, localization projects and supporting the calculation of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
* Support the Buyers during negotiation and contracts (Vendor Selection, Contract and Price Negotiation) for labor, cranes and spare parts.
* Responsible to update and analyze team performance using the KPIs including cost, pending info records, cost of inventory, working capital, special projects cost and project timeline.
* Responsible for managerial reports including weekly highlights and KPI updates.
* Responsible to register the cost reduction initiatives in proper system (OPW, Tracking Tool) and support with data collection (PO number, Invoice number, Saving Achieved, etc.).
* Support buyers to develop Purchasing long term contracts, price and SLA while minimizing risks to SIEMENS GAMESA.
* Support buyers to create RFI (Request for Information), RFQ (Request for Quotation), Price and Conditions Comparison, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluation.
* Support to develop and maintain appropriate Purchasing policies and procedures to ensure that all legal and ethical requirements are met.
* Responsible to update the prices and commercial conditions in SAP according to the buyer request (through proper form) and management approval.
* Responsible for defining the workflow of process of the area.
* Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

* Student currently enrolled at a college pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a Business degree interested in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics.
* Projected college graduation date of December 2019.
* Minimal GPA of 3.0 or above.
* MS Excel (advanced level).
* Analytical skills, team work, initiative, interest in learning, logical reasoning and critical mindset.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

* Bilingual in English and Spanish.
* Previous involvement in extra-curricular activities.
