Job Description:

Siemens PLM Software is looking for a software engineer who is

passionate about technologies and software development to join the CAD

Design group within the NX Software team, the company's flagship

CAD/CAM/CAE solution. The Design group is responsible for the

development and enhancement of advanced surface modeling, polygon

modeling, feature modeling, and synchronous modeling tools within NX.

As a software engineer, you will be taking on a wide range of exciting

projects from developing new technologies to implementing real world,

customer driven solutions. If you'd like to contribute to a product

which is used by industry engineers and designers around the world, we

Responsibilities

* Work with Product Management team to understand market needs,

customer requirements, and priorities for various projects

* Design, implement, enhance and maintain CAD Modeling software with

emphasis on feature modeling architecture

* Responsible for requirements definition, analysis, design,

coding/documentation and quality assurance

* Develop projects with efficient algorithms in a large high-end CAD

software system environment

* Apply strong geometric skills to the development of CAD.
* Employ a mastery of linear algebra concepts including matrix

mathematics to solve engineering problems

* Utilize object-oriented, structured programming techniques, and other

software engineering practices to ensure that the product is high

quality and the architecture is maintainable and expandable

* Create & maintain software for reuse & consumption by other

application teams

* Contribute as a team member in setting future directions in the

geometric modeling area

* Write clean and robust code to minimize the cost of defects over time

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

* Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering,

Applied Mathematics, or closely related fields

* Proficient in C/C++ programming languages
* Conversant with modern software engineering methodologies
* Good problem-solving and decision making skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Good English communication skills, both verbal and written

Highly desirable for candidate to possess one or more of the

following:

* Knowledge of advanced data structures, object oriented design
* Background in computer aided geometric design or related geometric

computations

* Experience in the algorithmic aspects of a Surface/Solid Modeler
* Knowledge of CAD APIs like Parasolid
