Job Details:

The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt is one of the nation's leading programs for the treatment of children, teens, and adults with eating disorders.

As a Postdoctoral Fellow you:

Will work primarily day shift Monday-Friday but also provide coverage for weekends/snow days/holidays, on a rotating basis, as needed. Anticipated start date for this position is August/September 2017.
Provide direct psychological services to assigned specialized individual patients and groups
Interview patients to obtain psychological history
Complete written psychological assessments
Participate in treatment planning
Conduct individual and group therapy using the therapeutic framework appropriate to the patient's needs and the program's treatment philosophy (e.g., psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, etc.)
Monitor patients' progress
Work closely with assigned supervisor to improve clinical skill; attend supervision sessions; and respond constructively to clinical feedback and supervision
Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team
Maintain patient documentation in accordance with program and Health System requirements
Administer and score psychological tests
Provide specialized consultation and assessments
May be responsible for completing all discharge summaries for patients for whom assigned as primary therapist.

Education, training, experience:

Completion of Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree program from a school of psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), which included supervised practicum, internships, field or laboratory training appropriate to the practice of psychology.
