Job Description

Overview & Responsibilities

SCI is seeking an enthusiastic, detailed-oriented Digital Marketing Intern to join a dynamic team of experts who support an enterprise-level website with over 6 million sessions per month.

The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Computer Science or a related field.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Digital Marketing Intern will be responsible for supporting a large team spanning a number of disciplines, including SEO, online advertising and content marketing.

This candidate should have enthusiasm for developing hard and soft digital marketing skills and possess a strong work ethic. The Digital Marketing Intern should be detail-oriented and be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys learning and applying new techniques within a progressive team environment.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for supporting digital campaign achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of various digital demand generation campaigns, including paid Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Facebook/social media advertising and Dignitymemorial.com website changes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Search Activities

* Q/A ad campaigns in Google Ads and work with agency to ensure mistakes are corrected and campaigns are launched according to deadlines.
* Create landing pages and address location changes (closures, divestitures, etc.) upon field marketing request
* Perform consistent quality assurance on landing pages, call center support and call tracking
* Assist in management of Paid Search Google sheet documentation
* Review paid search calls on a weekly basis to help call center identify areas of growth and opportunity
* Additional responsibilities as requested

Social Media Marketing

* Review brand mentions daily and escalate to key stakeholders as necessary
* Social media community management, including engaging with customers and notifications on Facebook
* Curate content and creating engaging social media posts
* Add social media posts to social media management software content library
* Administer social media management software as needed
* Create Facebook events

Website Updates and Administrative

* Accurately update content across the website using CMS and DAM (Sitecore, Digizuite, Gather Content) according to deadlines
* Assist with billing, record keeping and account payments as needed
* Ordering office supplies for the department as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Computer Science or related field

Experience & Abilities:

* Ability to think critically and remain flexible among a diverse and ever-changing business environment
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members
* Interest in gaining proficiency in digital marketing tools, including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook, SOCi and more
* Attuned to social media trends and able to effectively navigate platforms
* Fluent in Microsoft Office, including, Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
* Ability to work a maximum of 30 hours per week
