Job Description

Overview

Reporting directly to the Chairman of Senior Lifestyle, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Chairman. The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within corporate environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Essential Functions

* Manage an extremely active calendar of appointments.
* Compose and prepare correspondence that is sometimes confidential.
* Arrange complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.
* Compile documents for travel-related meetings.
* Responsible for managing personal matters for the Chairman that may include working outside of normal business hours.
* Serve as a liaison to investors, strategic partners, and senior management teams.
* Organize and coordinate executive outreach and external relations efforts.
* Oversee special projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Bachelor Degree preferred

Years of Experience: 5+ years

Type of Experience: Prior experience in an administrative or clerical position

Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.Technical Competencies: Proficiency with MS Office, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Skills and Ability:

* Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and outside contacts.
* Must have the ability to organize and manage projects through to completion.
* Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
* Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
* Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and nonprofessional personnel.
* Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
* Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
* Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily.
