SSM Health Physical Therapy in St. Louis, MO is seeking a dynamic Full-time Resident Physical Therapist to join our amazing team!!

An orthopedic physical therapy resident is a post-professional learner and licensed physical therapist. The resident participates in multiple weekly structured educational experiences, mentored patient care, teaching in Saint Louis University's Program in Physical Therapy, physician shadowing, and creation of a scholarly product. These experiences are designed to advance the physical therapist's knowledge, skills, and clinical reasoning in orthopedics. Successful completion of the residency's curriculum prepares the physical therapist for the Orthopedic Specialist Certification Examination.

Responsibilities

In addition to the planned learning experiences, the resident maintains physical therapy practice with weekly non-mentored clinic hours at two different clinical sites: SSM physical therapy for 6 months and Saint Louis University's Faculty Practice at Student Health for 6 months. Recent graduates of APTA credentialed physical therapy programs are eligible to apply as well as physical therapists that are new to the field of orthopedics and seek one on one mentoring. A current and valid Missouri licensure (or eligibility for Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapist) and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
