General Statement of Job:

The SIS Crime Data Analyst role will serve an administrative and analytical function by gathering and storing crime-related data and metrics to support and deepen threat trend analysis research, and by extension improve security related processes and procedures. The Crime Data Analyst will interface with client and SIS management to identify, develop, and populate a global database to strengthen the overall team's functions and assist in refining its processes. The Crime Data Analyst is an embedded role supporting an Executive Protection division.

Essential Job Functions:

* Collect, compile, and triage data from multiple sources
* Apply data parameters to a wide range of issues pertaining to global security, such as: petty and violent crime trends, disruptive protests, weather conditions, natural disasters, travel issues, repetitional concerns, as well as socio-economic dynamics.
* Identify, structure, and develop an intelligence database to store incident, project, site information, and monitoring subjects' data
* Develop solutions or alternative methods of organizing, storing, linking, quantifying, and delivering security intelligence data, templates, and resources to enhance database functionality and trend tracking
* Leverage employee databases, travel tracking solutions, and news alert services to enhance existing intelligence database capabilities
* Draw datasets from reputable public and private sources to supplement internally sourced data
* Perform database quality control to protect data and meta-data
* Interpret metrics and data to translate data into various forms such as data tables, written products, and presentations to support investigative leads and security research initiatives
* Effectively identify, analyze, and articulate data-driven security threat trends
* Develop and maintain project management and productivity reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and any other specific reports as needed
* Generate reports manually and through automated methods in an accurate and timely manner
* Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Regional Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or equivalent military/professional intelligence training
* Minimum 2+ year's of academic or professional experience in research, analysis and development of intelligence products/reports
* Fluency in at least one foreign language (reading, writing, speaking)
* Must complete and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law, as well as all client requested certifications; all documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
* Thorough knowledge of security procedures, life-safety, and business continuity
* Demonstrated data-centric analytical and problem solving skills
* Must possess advanced skills and experience in collecting and analyzing large quantities of data to produce notifications, assessments, and reports
* Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills required
* Must be flexible and posses the ability to function in stressful situations
* Must be a dependable team player with business maturity and enthusiasm with the ability to deliver high level of customer service
* Strong familiarity with CRM solutions and/or incident management systems
* Knowledge of standard crime analysis software, products, and procedures
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, and Mapping software
* Experience with investigative and risk management tools desired
* Experience with public records databases desired (e.g. Lexis Nexis, Thomson Reuters Clear)
* Experience with Salesforce desired
