Instructor, Computer Sci & Software Engineering

Position Description

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Seattle University invites applications for a full-time, multi-year, renewable, non-tenure-track Instructor position beginning in September 2017.

Applicants must have experience teaching a range of undergraduate or graduate computer science courses in either academic or professional setting. Responsibilities will include teaching in our computer science and/or software engineering programs, directing student projects, and service to the department and college.

Successful candidates will demonstrate interest in teaching and mentoring prospective students, an ability to teach in one or more of the degree programs offered by the department, and a genuine desire to contribute to the mission of Seattle University.

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering offers undergraduate and two masters degrees in Computer Science and Software Engineering, and a graduate certificate in Computer Science Fundamentals. Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: M.S. in computer science or software engineering, and experience in teaching with evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, and experience in teaching with evidence of teaching effectiveness.
