General Summary: Manage field placement tasks and processes under the direction of the Director of Field Placement; including placement of interns; document management for state and federal compliance; oversee on mentor stipends and clock hours; assist with placement office events.

Job Description:

* Place interns and coordinate specific details with each school where interns are placed. Assign field supervisors to each intern. Reply to placement questions.
* Design systems to manage placement records in order to meet state and federal compliance standards and accreditation.
* Advises and supports training of field supervisors, mentor teachers, student interns, SOE faculty, and similar groups.
* Supports Office and Placement Assistant in collecting and maintaining current school district agreements.
* Partners with the Center for Professional Education to annually set up course structure for clock hours.
* Oversees mentor stipend allocations and clock hours, particularly in cases where the intern has changed placements or been assigned more than one mentor and the payment must be split between mentors.
* Advises and partners with Office and Placement Assistant to plan and execute details for the annual Education Job Fair.
* Updates and processes and forms as needed.

Requirements:

* College graduate or equivalent (4+ years of equivalent work experience).
* Experience working in an office environment preferred.
* Outstanding attention to detail; ability to multitask; excellent written and verbal skills; team orientation; accurate data entry.
* The ability to streamline administrative processes.
* Skill in working with diverse populations and a commitment to culturally responsive work practices.
* Comfort working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Knowledge of or interest in P-12 education, a plus.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Additional Information:

Position will remain open until filled.

Salary: $41,500, 11 months

This is a full time position (11 months of the year) with excellent benefits. SPU pays the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. SPU makes contributions to an employee HSA account and to a retirement account after one year of eligibility in the plan. Tuition discount program available for the employee and qualified immediate family members.
