Job Description

The HEOR internship at Seattle Genetics aims to provide a challenging but rewarding opportunity for a motivated professional early in their career. This internship will allow a student to lead a project utilizing our new data analytics platform to conduct one or more HEOR studies using claims or electronic health record data (training on the platform will be included as part of the internship). Topics for the project likely to include burden of illness, treatment patterns, or comparative effectiveness but will be discussed and finalized prior to internship start date and will be dependent upon business needs and leveraged against student needs and/or experience. The project will support HEOR evidence generation for SeaGen early pipeline and/or late stage assets.

Responsibilities:

* Design and execute a rigorous HEOR study using approved methods. Students are encouraged to explore this opportunity to develop new methods as well when appropriate
* Lead project and all aspects including proposal, protocol writing, executing analyses, and presenting results internally and externally

Qualifications:

* Current HEOR or Public Health PhD student with preferably medical (PharmD, MD, etc.) or economics background
* Experience working with claims and/or electronic health records databases
* Statistical coding experience, preferably with R
* Strong communication skills, specifically being able to communicate complex HEOR concepts to a wide range of audiences
* Ability to work independently but also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when needed to get cross functional alignment and expert feedback as necessary for the success of the project
