Job Description

Regional Property Manager - San Diego, CA AREA

The Property Manager will be responsible for the oversight, management, and administration of property management for a territory of over 2msf and 15 assets in S. CA. Supported by a Property Manager assistant, this individual will be responsible for daily operations, expense management and reporting, and the preparation and implementation of annual operating and capital budgets for the region. Also the evaluation of budget performance, tenant improvements, capital improvements, maintenance and repair projects and coordination of companywide initiatives. The position will interface with applicable departments to manage tenant build outs and will also oversee all major capital improvements and large scale maintenance/repair projects for the region. The right candidate must be a proven leader, a self-starter, possess strong communications skills, and must be able to organize and analyze large amounts of information and data for problem solving purposes. Hands on, in the field operational and retail construction and property management expertise is a must. This individual must have superior knowledge of retail commercial real estate, retail building operations, facilities and construction, accounting systems, and have proficient computer skills such as MS Excel, Word, Outlook;. Additionally, the candidate must have extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of landlord/tenant lease language, leasehold obligations, and financial functions involving Common Area Maintenance billing and recovery. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience is required. A professional designation such as CSM, CPM or CCIM is preferred. Prior management experience and at least 5 years in retail property management is also required.

MUST HAVES:

At least 5 years in retail property management - with large portfolios - over 1.5msf

Prior staff management experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant work experience

Advanced MS Excel skills

Ability to travel on a regular basis

Excellent retail construction management skills

Advanced budgeting expertise - operational and capital budgets

Professional designation such as CSM, CPM or CCIM strongly preferred
