Job Summary:

Bank Card Security proactively monitors spend patterns to detect and prevent fraud losses on Scotiabank’s Credit and Debit Card portfolios.  This include our retail and commercial customers.  The succesful candidate is instrumental in handling inbound calls from our cardholders, merchants, branches; Customer Contact Centres and Law Enforcement.  They will also concurrently monitor and analyse data on variour fraud monitoring platforms.

 

A breakdown of responsibilities is listed below:

•  Analyze and prevent Financial Loss by monitoring the various tools and technology for potential fraud activity

•  Identify, Analyze and escalate emerging fraud trends

•  Contacting cardholdersstomers as required to verify and validate transactions
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Expert typing and navigational skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skillsin both French and English
  • Must have a great analytical mind and have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be flexible to changing shifts, be available to work overtime on short notice and work statutory holidays
  • Previous experience in a customer service/security environmentKnowledge of Scotiabank Credit and Debit Products is a desirable criteria

 

 Functional Competencies:

  • Expert knowledge of CIS, MV, KS, As400, Image, and TCS.
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous personal computer experience and excellent keyboarding skills
  • Previous experience in a customer service  or Card Security environment

 

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is a must
  • Any education in Criminology or Law enforcement is desirable but not a requirement

 

Miscellaneous

  • The hours for this position are from 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday
  • This is a 1-year contract opportunity
  • Fluency in French is a requirement for this position
  • The location for this role is Don Mills & Eglinton, North York, ON.
  • This unit runs on a 24-hour operation
