Job Description

A Client Advisor is responsible to serve as the organization's representative in all activities connected with the sale of new and used vehicles and related products and services to our customers.

  • Treat all customers in an enthusiastic, courteous and helpful manner and strive for complete customer satisfaction at all times. Promptly follow-up with customers and fully answer their questions and address their concerns, seek assistance if necessary or appropriate.
  • Perform all functions necessary to sell our products and services at or above the profitability guidelines established.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above the national benchmark level.
  • Execute our sales process with each customer.
  • Follow our operational procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional Customer Service to 100% of people 100% of the time.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and internet leads.
  • Complete CRM assigned tasks and follow-ups.
  • Assist in merchandising and presentation of grounds and products.
  • Continually maintain prospects for new customers and new business using phone, mail, email, personal contact, referrals, and all other means available.
  • Regularly and consistently follow-up with prospects and customers per organization/departmental guidelines using telephone, mail, personal contact, and other means. This specifically includes regular and systematic follow-up with those who have purchased vehicles from you/us regularly and continuously after they have taken delivery.
  • Continually grow "Product Knowledge" of Mercedes-Benz products and services by training and participating in educational and development programs
  • Meet with supervisors regularly to review goals/objectives. Develop a work action plan that achieves those goals/objectives.
  • Assist in ensuring that all manufacturers/suppliers programs, warranties, etc. are followed and that required records are kept.
  • Ensure our sales are, both inside and outside the building, present a clean, neat and in accordance with our brand image.
  • Assist in the collection of past due customer accounts as requested.
  • Use and keep up to date accurate records, files, forms, Dealer Management System (DMS), etc.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Safety and customer service oriented.
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs as needed.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • High degree of self-motivation with solid work habits.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with peers, service advisors, technicians, parts advisors and other managers to effectively, efficiently, and positively communicate ideas and information. Maintain a clean and professional appearance and work environment.
  • Conduct oneself in a manner that brings credit to the dealership, and dress in a manner that is in accordance with dealership policy.
  • Be a problem-solver who will do what it takes to get our customers the results they need.
