Job Description

Overview

Sargent & Lundy's Construction Support Services Division currently has opportunities for temporary, full-time Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Construction Management Advisors, to support a variety of power plant projects; both domestic and international.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to provide I&C related construction management advice and support to Client management during the construction of a power plant project. Secondary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

* Review instrument/component calibrations, perform functional checks, loop checks, and process controls.
* Perform general and technical consulting for I&C and electrical construction work.
* Assist in facilitating Client - Owner/Regulator communications.
* Coordinate issues between engineering and construction.
* Review and advise on corrective action issues.

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

* Ability and willingness to work at a project site location; domestically or internationally.
* Success working with multi-cultural and multi-disciplined teams.
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
* 10 or more years applicable experience, including combined cycle (gas turbine), coal and/or nuclear power plant construction.
* Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated Client relationship building experience.
* Positive attitude and personality; ability to build positive relationships.
