Job Description

The Position:

The Business Development department is seeking a summer intern. This role will shadow

Business Development and Alliance Management employees through the entire partnering life-cycle. This role will gain experience with a Portfolio Management System in a multi-billion-dollar organization. The intern will learn the nuances of communicating effectively to senior leadership and gain day to day exposure to prioritization exercises, strategic thinking, and risk management.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

* Assisting Business Development with scientific research and due diligence to support new business decisions
* Assisting Alliance Management with operational and strategic decision-making process
* Budget development
* Creating and updating customized dashboards and templates as requested
* Participating in relevant department meetings
* Identify departmental operational gaps and draft mitigation proposal
* Candidate will also be working on a specific BB/AM project of his/her choosing to complete and present by the end of his/her internship.

Education and Skills Requirements:

* Master's level candidate preferred
* Significant coursework in business and science
* Proficiency in MS Office Applications
* Above average communication skills
