PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
 

The Export Control Team located in St. Leon-Rot is part of the SAP Logistics Services. Logistics Services consists of various departments and is seen as an internal and external service provider supplying both sets of customers with high quality materials or services in time and in compliance with export control laws and regulations.

 

Export and Import Control Compliance is an important part of SAP's global compliance program. SAP – as an international economic operator – must comply with export control laws and regulations of various countries. Within SAP, the Export Control Team is responsible for ensuring compliance through appropriate export control compliance processes.

 

An important part of our service portfolio comprises the determination of appropriate export classifications (ECCN) of our products, the definition and specification of export compliant shipment channels as well as the compliance monitoring and identification of license requirements regarding all applicable export control laws, trade restrictions and sanctions. By close alignment with the responsible SAP Development and Product Management as well as the Sales unit we assure on-time, legally compliant and quality focused product classifications and deliveries of products as well as services.

 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced colleague who will support the Export Control Team and the Product Classification and Shipment Channel governance body in all matters. We are looking for a flexible individual who can integrate into a professional team to support the various activities in a reliable and trusted manner.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
 

  • Single point of contact for external and internal questions regarding foreign trade topics
  • Complete handling of SAP’s Compliance Management (including Sanctioned Party List Screening, Embargo-Check and License Requirements)
  • Processing of Export Control Classification (ECCN) requests under European law
  • Governance support for SAP’s Shipment Matrix in close collaboration with involved stakeholders across all development units
  • Documentation of export related proceedings as well as roll-out and knowledge transfer
  • Daily operations with German Export Control Authorities concerning export license applications and the associated reporting as well as product and customer related requests
  • Coordination and Communication with affected internal key stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, Development, Delivery Units
  • Continuous evaluation of installed processes / policies and recommendation for improvements to increase efficiency/productivity
  • Support for implementation of legal changes and according adjustment in SAP’s Export Control Compliance Systems
  • Realization of Projects around Export Control, Product Classification or SAP’s Shipment Matrix

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
 

  • Successfully completed degree in international business, logistics or a comparable qualification
  • Willingness and ability to work in a governance position to fulfill a corporate requirement
  • Very good and fast comprehension capability as well as the ability to understand complex issues quickly
  • High quality awareness and process-oriented thinking and acting
  • Motivation to work both as an individual and collaboratively in teams
  • Preferably working experience with SAP ERP, CRM, BPS
  • Working experience with SAP’s Global Trade System (GTS) would be an asset
  • Experienced in handling of MS Office applications
  • Excellent communicative competence and experiences with project management
  • Fluency in German and English

 

WORK EXPERIENCE
 

  • 1-2 years’ professional experience
  • International experience would be an asset due to our collaboration with multi-national teams
  • Previous experience in export control / foreign trade environment topics is beneficial
