PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Organizationally located within Global Controlling, the Digital Business Services (DBS) Controlling department supports its executive board member, its business unit heads as well as the global head of services sales in all controlling-relevant processes across the entire value chain from services sales to service delivery. In addition, it offers its enhanced business expertise in portfolio evaluations, project controlling and other ad-hoc reports making “the difference” in decision-making processes. By this, its team members are creating impact on their business partners’ operations, their mid- and long-term strategic direction as well as the success of the transformation of the global end-to-end services business. We are looking for an (Associate) Controller (f/m) with a strong background in Finance and Controlling for our Cross-Controlling Team. One of the main tasks will be the preparation and allocation of business relevant reporting for the global DBS management as well as support of the DBS Business Units in all controlling related matters. You will be a business partner to the regional DBS Heads and the regional finance teams to support financial and operational issues. At the same time you will be working closely together with all Teams in Global Controlling as well as internally within DBS Controlling and Operations in order to support various controlling processes and ensure compliance with SAP’s financial guidelines.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Manages financial performance of the Digital Business Services functions
  • Focus on leveraging tools and systems in order to ensure transparency for the steering of the DBS Board Area in close partnership with the Enterprise Analytics Teams
  • Close co-operation with regional DBS teams and other global DBS business units
  • Actively leading various activities to ensure overall global DBS financial performance, like quarter end close, financial forecast, budgeting as well as latest estimates
  • Safeguarding the financial compliance of all DBS business units
  • Act as role model for using our own SAP products as catalyst for increased F&A efficiency
  • Create, write and communicate briefings, presentations and memos for senior management and interpret, analyze and evaluate business plans and operating/financial plans
  • Driving standardization of planning, reporting and definitions and rolling out services controlling specific processes across all levels of the organization

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree and/or MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Very good knowledge of consulting and support business
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to understand complex frameworks
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Strong conceptual and structured work style
  • Strong sense of prioritization, results and execution focused
  • Process knowledge on SAP internal revenue & customer processes would be of advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management alike
  • Excellent skills in diagnosing inefficiencies in business processes and initiating and completing corrective actions
  • Profound experience with SAP® products (e.g. SAP CO/FI,  Business Warehouse)
  • Ability to drive business transformation and execution against ambitious milestones
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Business level English and German required, additional languages a plus
