The National Security Partnerships and Business Development department is seeking a Business Development and Partnerships Professional to support Sandia’s national security initiatives\. Our department provides integrated and embedded business development and partnership experts that sit directly with mission and technology teams to realize program development, strategy and partnering objectives\. Our integrated team members develop and execute strategic program and technology initiatives, drive stakeholder engagements and implement internal/external partnership strategies aimed at optimizing national security impact\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Develop, implement and drive strategic program and technology initiatives
+ Execute stakeholder engagement strategies by applying institutional expertise, proven processes and creative, out\-of\-the box solutions
+ Foster a healthy working relationship with internal/external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and build programmatic efficiencies
+ Identify current state vs\. future state and implement technology roadmapping initiatives for achieving optimal mission and program objectives
+ Develop and translate technology speak into the “so what” for national security mission applications in a creative and strategic manner
+ You will identify and communicate key market factors such as national security requirements and trends, competitive landscapes and program/technology opportunities
+ Lead technology transfer initiatives that benefit mission by enabling the transition from pathfinder technologies to deploy national security systems

Required:

+ You will have a bachelor's degree plus 2 years' relevant experience
+ Experience with business development
+ Experience with customer relationship management techniques
+ Experience with state\-of\-the\-art management of technology, marketing and sales tools/processes
+ You will have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance

Desired:

+ Master’s degree
+ Experience with customer retention related to such agencies as the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community

The National Security Partnerships and Business Development Department provides embedded business development professionals with a passion for national security, enthusiasm for science and engineering, and the ability to navigate complex organizational cultures\.

The embedded business development teams have been demonstrating significant impact to Sandia for over 10 years\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
