Job Description

:

We are seeking an Intern Year Round \- Clerical Union Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Provide clerical support in Dept\. 5268 and other departments within 5260 with general administrative duties
+ Perform document preparation, filing and making copies
+ Perform data entry, purchasing, record keeping, and other related assignments
+ Support various projects using Microsoft Office
+ Process documents using Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2\.5/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union \(OPEIU\), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees\. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve \(12\) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment\.

Additional Requirements:

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy \(DOE\) Security Clearance
+ Current enrollment in a business or related undergraduate program

Department Description:

Responsible for developing, integrating, characterizing, and ensuring the reliability of radiation\-hardened microelectronics fabricated in the Microsystems and Engineering Sciences Applications \(MESA\) facilities\. Advanced device development activities are also a significant part of the team's work, focusing on end\-of\-the roadmap technologies such as resistive memories, optoelectronics, and heterogeneous integration\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
