Job Description

:

We are seeking a highly motivated Protocol Officer to join a dynamic team\. You will administer correct protocol for international, U\.S\. government, and political meetings/events sponsored by SNL\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Craft itineraries and agendas\.
+ Research customs and courtesies between different culture\.
+ Become an expert in precedence, titles and forms of address, flag etiquette and business etiquette\.
+ Model polite and professional behavior\.
+ Plan distinguished foreign and domestic visits, widely attended ceremonies and special events\.
+ Identify security risks and build safety plans\.
+ Craft and send invitations\.
+ Prepare and recommend suitable seating arrangements\.
+ Arrange photo opportunities and meeting accommodations\.
+ Perform other duties and tasks in support of event management such as but not limited to escort, coordinating badging and security clearances\.

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus entry level experience \(up to two years\); or master's degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience\.

Desired:

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites to specifically, Word, Excel and database management, proficiency in PowerPoint/graphics\.
+ Ability to perform physical requirements/work environment\.
+ Work afterhours\.
+ Knowledge of food and beverage industry\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
