Job Description

:

We are seeking an Intern Year Round \- Business Undergrad

This position is expected to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer\. As the Sandia Student Campus Liaison to Purdue your main role will be to support the on\-site Partnership Manager and the Sandia recruiting/visitor team with campus related activities\. Activities that you will be involved are listed below\. The student will be provided a Sandia laptop and associated equipment to perform this work remotely\. It is expected that student will meet/communicate frequently with the on\-campus manager to review activities and discuss assignments\. Most meetings will be through email, skype, in person at a collocate office location in Mann Hall in Discovery Park, or Sandia\-CERIAS collaborative space in Recitation Building\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Coordinate student outreach activities related to Academic Alliance: Here, the objectives include setting up appointments, student engagements, organizational events\.
+ Perform Event Coordination and logistics \(time, location, equipment, expectations, invoicing/payments\), support the creation of and maintain professional development presentations for Student events, inventory materials for event
+ Support efforts to archive partnership engagement information through the Academic Alliance Communications and Engagement tools
+ Maintain university contacts through a customer relationship management tool on a regular basis
+ Track and post Purdue team meetings, events, visits, workshops, etc\. based on campus manager news notes
+ Update presentations and materials as needed
+ Work with Partnership manager on communications to increase awareness of Sandia on\-campus and Purdue\-SNL Academic Alliance partnership
+ Support school\-specific engagement strategy such as “SENSE” program and support efforts to target students/faculty that may be interested in partnering with Sandia through research and recruiting
+ Help create Sandia announcements and flyers for tech talks and career fairs, help create email distribution lists as needed for disseminating recruiting information
+ Maintain inventory and support distribution of Sandia collateral materials on\-campus such as co\-op brochure, on\-campus manager business cards and recruiting team contact info, Sandia research magazine, and other relevant materials
+ Support maintenance of Sandia digital media and working with Sandia AAP team and Sandia on Campus manager such as creating and submitting student profiles monthly
+ Identify and create meaningful relationships with recruiting\-related campus personnel, including contacts in diversity organizations, student success center, career discovery and development, co\-op and internship coordinators and corporate development contacts to promote the Sandia employment brand
+ Support talent pipeline and continuing education programs by supporting student intern recruiting needs, working with on\-campus manger to support implementing faculty appointments/exchange agreements
+ Promote Sandia as a premier employer by reaching out to student organizations, organizing classroom presentations, and encourage students to apply for employment at Sandia
+ Engage with Sandia community on campus, which will include previous and current Sandia interns and special program participants

NOTE: No activity\-level, research type project work \(requiring laboratories, special equipment\) associated with this role are authorized without the approval of the on campus manager\. All activities are office type duties and if there is any question about the safety of the work environment, the student should notify the manager\.

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Must be an undergraduate at or above 61 earned credit units
+ Must be a student attending Purdue University

Desired:

+ Strong understanding of STEM degree and R&D organizations
+ Creative in developing digital media marketing, communications and relationship\-building skills for connecting Purdue Students, faculty, and staff to Sandia PI
+ Demonstrated leadership outside of academics, including student organizations and community service

Security Clearance:

This position does not currently require a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted security clearance\.

Sandia will conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record checks, and employment and education verifications\.
