Job Description

:

We are seeking an Intern Summer \- Business Grad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Support ongoing business development and partnership activities for Sandia's national security applications and programs with a focus on defense and intelligence organizations \(e\.g\. strategy development, customer engagement planning, marketing and communications, customer visits, etc\.\)
+ Perform business research and analysis of markets, technologies and partnerships relevant to Sandia’s program portfolios
+ Work under direction to assist the business development staff in helping technical line organizations understand and apply business development concepts for the purpose of meeting Sandia’s goals for partnerships

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Earned bachelor's degree
+ Currently attending and enrolled full time \(or scheduled to graduate in the spring\) in an accredited graduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
+ Experience conducting research utilizing the web
+ Excellent written communications

Note: If you have not yet started your graduate program, please apply to an undergraduate intern position\.

Desired:

+ Experience with marketing and business concepts
+ Experience with data analysis, including statistical analysis

Department Description:

The National Security Partnerships and Business Development Department is responsible for providing embedded business development support to Sandia's mission programs and portfolios to enable the development of national security programs and partnerships\. The department is responsible for the creation and implementation of programmatic and technology strategy, capture planning, federal, academic and industry engagement and other marketing and business development efforts for the groups it supports\.

Security Clearance:

This position does not currently require a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted security clearance\.

Sandia will conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record checks, and employment and education verifications\. Further, employees in New Mexico must pass a U\.S\. Air Force background screen for access to the work site\.
