:

We are seeking an Intern Year Round \- Business Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Maintain intermediate\-level SharePoints
+ Interface with multiple customers, staff members, and managers across multiple technology areas
+ Provide operational and programmatic support to a variety of technical teams
+ Support various tasks and other strategic initiatives related to business development
+ Identify areas for improvement within the department and implement actionable strategic plans to address them
+ Develop strategic plans for both operational and technical initiatives
+ Design and deploy continuous improvement processes to meet customer needs
+ Develop communication plans

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in a business\-related field

Desired:

+ Proficient using Microsoft Program Applications \(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc\.\)
+ Experience in setting up and maintaining SharePoint sites
+ Strong customer focus with enthusiasm and desire to effectively support the admin/business roles of the department
+ Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities
+ Teaming skills compatible with large and diverse technical teams
+ Ability to solve complex problems in the absence of clear direction or guidance
+ Excellent communication skills, personal initiative, responsiveness, and attention to detail

Department Description:

The Surety Engineering group \(9420\) is a center of excellence for research and development \(R&D\) Technical Quality at Sandia National Laboratories\. With multidisciplinary engineers at numerous sites, 9420 provides R&D hardware and software surety engineering expertise throughout the entire product realization lifecycle, interfacing across various technology areas in support of high\-consequence systems\. We deliver strong technical solutions that increase customer confidence against loss, damage, and errors by minimizing a product’s risk through the prevention, early detection, and mitigation of defects, resulting in cost and schedule savings while concurrently increasing the reliability and safety of a given system\. We advocate for the use of best engineering practices and lessons learned to develop high\-reliability, high\-performance products that overcome the nation’s most complex national security challenges\. 9420 also owns the National Security Quality Training \(NQT\) program, which trains scientists and engineers across the laboratories on consistent, risk\-based approaches to technical problems\. Our engineers play a critical role in R&D project teams responsible for realizing high\-consequence, low\-volume hardware and software products, providing customized engineering support that ensures the appropriate qualification and testing evidence meets design requirements in a predictable, timely, and sustainable manner\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
