:

The Partnership & Planning Group \(4850\) has openings for 3 Strategic Site Planning Managers for 4855: Facilities Partnerships; 4856: Plans & Project Development; and 485X: Building Systems Engineering\.

Candidates applying on this requisition may be interviewed and/or hired into one of several organizations at Sandia National Laboratories\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Utlize Sandia’s, NNSA’s, and DOE’s facilities management system tools to collect asset condition data, then conduct analytics and projections for data\-driven recommendations into future investments or disposition of real\-property assets, as well as actions and investments for energy and sustainability\.
+ Have a strong familiarity with building systems and lifecycle management is necessary to work with the operations teams on issues/trends and create plans to sustain reliability of these facilities systems\.
+ Ability to provide recommendations that are guided by an understanding of mission\-driven impacts to the building systems and infrastructure\. These mission drivers are understood and established through trust\-based relationships with leadership within the Sandia mission organizations\.
+ Plan and program future investments that requires familiarity with the sites and their unique features and opportunities to envision a future site environment that extends decades out, then delineate actions and investments that advance the sites and missions toward that state\.

Required:

+ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field\.
+ Eight or more years of relevant experience within a facilities management organization\.
+ Knowledge/experience in building systems and comprehensive campus planning experience\.

Desired:

+ Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture\.
+ Five or more years’ experience with DOE/NNSA facilities and infrastructure management systems\.
+ Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience\.
+ Previous experience shall include site planning, project development or building/infrastructure systems management, and project program management\.
+ Experience working within a team to achieve goals\.
+ Experience working as a service provider with a strong customer focus and developing trust\-based partnerships\.
+ Active DOE/DOD security clearance\.

Department Description:

Partnership and Planning \(4850\) is responsible for space and asset management, leading and negotiating partnerships between our strategic management units and our customers, and planning and implementing integrated, long\-term projects and strategies to support customer missions\.

Facilities Partnership Planning \(4855\) engages with Division partners to identify strategic infrastructure investments that enable the missions of Sandia National Laboratories\. We assist our Division partners with planning activities that address enduring and emerging mission needs\. These activities include the collection, analysis, justification, and socialization of critical areas such as mission risks, facility and infrastructure gaps, and enabling infrastructure needs\. We communicate these needs to the larger laboratory planning processes and assist our partners in fostering support from NNSA and the other sponsors and customers\.

The Plans and Project Development department \(4856\) consists of two major parts\. The Planning team engages in long\-term, comprehensive planning for sites within the context of their surrounding communities for development and redevelopment to meet mission, balanced with the responsibility for stewardship of federally\-owned assets on behalf of the DOE/NNSA\. Project Development oversees projects from a conceptual idea through scoping and validation to a funded project\. The department also plans, tracks, and reports the progress of the Corporate Investment Plan at the funding program level\.

NEW: The Building Systems Engineering department \(485X\) is a newly forming department, but will come with very talented individuals\. This department will have a sites \(SNL/NM, SNL/CA, SNL/TTR\)\-comprehensive perspective of building systems, at the system level\. We conduct condition assessments, develop system sustainment plans, develop and implement standards and specifications that guide modifications to the systems, and perform analytics of the Facilities Controls System \(FCS\)\. All of these activities are performed collaboratively with the operations teams to address issues and trends\. The department also includes the Energy Program, looking at sustainability and energy performance across the sites\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
