Job Description


We are seeking a Computing Infrastructure Engineer

We’re looking for motivated team members with a successful history of partnering and resolving technical challenges to join our mission\-enabling solutions team\. If you are a technical contributor with experience in managing Linux or Unix systems as well as storage, networking and/or virtualization and are energized through problem solving and complex issue resolution, then this is an opportunity to accelerate your career\. Your responsibilities include partnering to resolve technical issues, benchmarking or validating technical system capabilities, participating with planning, changes, and deployments of systems, addressing information assurance requirements, documenting all work performed to meet customer requirements, assisting the technical team lead with coordinating work, and representing our team to the highest degree\. You will also participate in the planning, implementation and execution of new technologies, processes, and practices\. • Effective problem\-solving skills in complex systems environments\.

• Proven, technical experience with Linux or Unix and at least one of the following technical domains: storage area networks \(SAN\) and network\-attached storage \(NAS\), virtual and/or physical infrastructure, and IP network technologies\.

• Holds a current DOE Q\-Clearance\.

• Ability to receive and maintain SCI clearance\.


• 5\+ years of experience managing Unix systems and associated software packages\.

• 5\+ years of experience managing Linux systems and associated software packages \(e\.g\., RPMs\)\.

• Hands\-on, technical experience in networking, storage area networks, and/or virtualization\.

• Experience with deployment of systems for external customers\.

• Experience successfully contributing to deadline\-driven projects\.

• Hands\-on, practical experience with scripting, automation tools, and configuration management tools\.

• Information Assurance \(IA\) experience with ICD 503, security scanning tools, and/or resolving IA issues\.

• Success integrating emerging processes and configuration management practices\.

• Experience with ITIL and integrating continual service improvement into operations\.

• Experience with project management tools such as ARAS\.

• Have a current SCI clearance\.

• Proven success as a technical team member\.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills\.

• Ability to summarize complex and technical information\.

• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills\.
