Job Description

:

We are seeking a Nurse Coordinator to oversee the Occupational Medicine and International Travel Clinic\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Provide nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities\.
+ Administer health management programs, maintains records of persons treated, prepares accident reports, provides health education information, dispenses drugs and medicines, and refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to physician\.
+ Schedules the work of, and oversees the day\-to\-day activities of nurses, medical assistants, and other staff\.
+ Coordinate health care related projects and event\.
+ Provides direct nursing care\.
+ Maintain records of patients treated, prepares accident reports, provides health information, dispenses standard drugs and medicines, and refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to appropriate entities\.
+ Give nursing diagnoses, interventions, referrals, and follow\-up on a variety of patient or employee health issues, including urgent or emergent clinical problems\.
+ Perform return to work, fitness for duty, and restriction evaluations\.

The candidate must have a background in an Occupational Setting as well as an International travel clinic setting\.

Required:

+ Bachelor's of Science in Nursing plus 5 years of relevant experience\.
+ Licensed nurse in New Mexico\.
+ 3 years of experience in both an Occupational Medicine clinics as well as an International travel clinic\.
+ Current in Basic Life Support\.

Desired:

+ Willingess to become a Certified Occupational Health Nurse\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
