Job Description

:

We are seeking Information Systems Engineering Project Managers to join our team\.

+ Assists mission customers with the utilization of the Mission Computing Services IT contract, specifically the identification and placement of IT contractors\. Manages the customer relationship with supported missions, oversees the IT work performed by contract staff for the mission and escalates issues to the IT supplier as needed\.
+ Establishes and maintains Service Level Agreements with mission customers and ensures that service targets are being met by the contract staff\. Manages and directs IT Service Improvement Projects\.
+ Develops relationships with SNL Technical Mission/SNL Corporate IT clients and organizations to assess IT contract staffing options with respect to technology, support, and IT security needs
+ Engage with cross\-functional teams to prioritize and integrate process development and maturation, ensuring that the right talent is engaged and utilized at the appropriate level to achieve successful service delivery outcomes\.
+ Responsible for Service Measurement & Continuous Improvement including: Cost per use and TCO, Performance to SLAs, Service Reviews and Benchmarking\.
+ Provides leadership and tactical planning for execution of projects by applying technical information systems domain knowledge to achieve project objectives and deliverables\.
+ Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the technical requirements\.
+ Negotiates and verifies deliverables with stakeholders \- external, internal, across functional organizations\.
+ Applies functions of standard IT service management frameworks \(such as ITIL and CMMI\) and methodologies such as DevOps, Agile, and Lean IT in managing and tracking the execution of projects and the continual improvement of Managed IT Services\.
+ Proactively manages changes in project scope using change management, identifies potential issues, and devises contingency plans, as necessary\.
+ Identifies potential project risks and responds by developing risk mitigation strategies, corrective actions, risk acceptance recommendations or avoidance for all aspects of the project\.
+ Develops and delivers status reporting, decision documents, and presentations\.
+ Effectively addresses project concerns with management\.
+ Upholds a sense of customer service and measures client satisfaction

Required:

+ Requires bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus entry level experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience \(a minimum of 8 years of experience managing IT related projects and IT Services required in lieu of degree\)\.
+ Experience managing IT related projects and/or IT Services

Desired:

+ Information Technology Infrastructure Library \(ITIL\) foundation and advanced certifications preferred
+ Project Management Institute \(PMI\) certification
+ Experience in Customer Relationship Management
+ Experience overseeing IT Operations
+ Experience overseeing software development teams
+ Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience

Department Description:

Mission Computing Services \(MCS\) provides tailored IT services and support to Sandia mission organizations and customers\. MCS also delivers system administration and IT support for classified desktop systems and all Linux/UNIX operation systems\. MCS partners with other corporate IT providers in the delivery of its services and is engaged in technology development efforts for the Sandia Classified Network \(SCN\), UNIX/LINUX, and thin/virtual computing\. MCS is direct funded and managed through a Service Center\.
