On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Performs clerical duties involving the maintenance of various SNL record systems or creation of documents which requires
+ Entry of data into files/computerized databases
+ Composition of text from various files/sources
+ Verification of the completeness/correctness of the information
+ Retrieval of filed information, compilation or summarization of information for standardized reports, contracts, accounting journals, or other routine documents, and distribution of reports, contracts, or requested information
+ Perform data entry
+ Prerequisites: New employees must be on the job 12 months; all others, a minimum of 6 months on current job\. Must have passed current standardized testing and the typing test by the bid deadline date


+ Strong office management and organizational skills demonstrated in past positions supporting organizations of comparable size and complexity\.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a team environment, as attested to by references\.


+ Familiarity with Sandia's policies/procedures and experience with Sandia National Laboratory electronic systems \(e\.g\., vouchers, timesheets, Just In Time, Talent & Employee Development System \(TEDS\), foreign national requests, the property system\)\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.

+ This Receptionist position requires the ability to excel in both a dynamic team environment and independently, be self\-motivated, proactive and perform to high expectations\. Support visitors for the Computer Science Research Institute \(CSRI\) building and their hosts\.
+ Support Office Administrative Assistants \(OAA\), managers and staff within the CSRI team environment\.
+ Ability to work independently and take initiative; confidence to approach staff and visitors to identify security issues
+ Ability to comply with Sandia's Environmental Safety and Health requirements; filing and records management; and strong customer orientation\. Requires a 40 hour or 36/44 hour work schedule\.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

+ Greet CSRI visitors and coordinate with their hosts to ensure that visitors are properly badged, including access verification for foreign nationals\.
+ Monitor seminar schedules for CSRI conference rooms to ensure that the receptionist desk is adequately staffed when many visitors are expected\. Manage solicitors and other unexpected visitors\.
+ Coordinate visitors for building maintenance, vending maintenance and pick\-ups/drop\-offs for recycling, white bags, etc\)\.
+ Manage process for building badges, including daily maintenance of badge inventory and monthly filing of badge log sheets\.
+ Perform weekly orders for building supplies \(e\.g\. paper, water for coolers, printer supplies\)\.
+ This includes maintaining paper supplies in building copier machines\.
+ Manage access to government vehicles that are used by CSRI residents, and perform normal vehicle maintenance \(e\.g\. take the vehicles to carwash and gas station\)\.
+ File mail for CSRI residents daily, and coordinate with CSRI OAA to manage Official Use Only mail and password account mail for staff\.
+ Break down and disposal of boxes that are received with mail and building supplies\.

Required Testing:

Applicants must meet the minimum pre\-requisites to be scheduled for testing\. The applicant will be contacted and scheduled for the next available test date\. All applicants must be prepared to test upon application submittal\. Once successful testing has been completed, the hiring manager will be notified\.

Full consideration will not be given to applicants that have not met all of the pre\-requisites including testing\. Interviews will not be scheduled until the applicant has successfully test\-qualified and has been selected by the manager as a top applicant\. Passing the test does not guarantee an interview or a selection\.

If the applicant is not able to schedule testing within the time constraints of the position posting, selection timelines, and the available test dates, they will not be considered for the position\. It is imperative that applicants are immediately available for testing in order to provide the best opportunities\.
