Job Description

:

We are seeking an Intern Summer \- Technical Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Perform basic biological methodologies for ecological data collection \(herpetology, ornithology, vegetation\)
+ Assist in database management, data analysis, supply and equipment inventorying, data entry, and ArcView GIS data input
+ Support the creation and development of annual data reports
+ Work indoors and outdoors in varied environments
+ Participate in technical report writing
+ Contribute to the structure and content of the Ecology Program

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time \(or scheduled to graduate in the spring\) in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Experience with MS Excel
+ Completed undergraduate coursework associated with Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resources
+ Oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Note: If you have not yet started your undergraduate program, please apply to a high school intern position\.

Desired:

+ Experience with GPS and ArcView GIS, data analysis skills

Security Clearance:

This position does not currently require a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted security clearance\.
