Job Description

:

Our team is seeking an enthusiastic undergraduate intern with an interest and the skills to perform a wide range of activities spanning software development and DevOps support; data analysis and reporting; and leveraging components across the Microsoft stack\.

In addition to current software development and systems development lifecycles, data analysis, and coding or scripting experience, the selected candidate must possess effective communication skills, attention to detail and ability to research solutions to data and development issues\.

Specific job duties:

+ Use software industry best practices and tools to develop and release software systems
+ Work as a member of a cross\-functional agile team participating in planning, stand\-ups, prototyping, presentations, and demos
+ Take responsibility for timely completion of assigned tasks identifying alternative approaches or work\-arounds when problems are encountered
+ Seek constant improvement of products, processes, and tools, as well as continuous development and growth of skills

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

Additional Requirements:

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
+ Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow

Desired:

+ Great interpersonal skills
+ Experience using SQL
+ Awareness of Microsoft BI Stack: SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Power Bi, PowerPivot, etc\.
+ Knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics, or decision support
+ Familiarity with Agile, COBIT, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma or similar frameworks
+ Competence with scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc\.
+ Demonstrated initiative in dealing with challenging problems and implementing creative solutions
+ The ability to work in a diverse team environment

Department Description:

Department 10762 is responsible for Password Administration, Desktop Technology Development, Sandia\-wide Software Site/Volume Licensing, Production Tools \(DIGS, ICK, WebCars, CSSR\) and Data Encryption at rest and in transit\. Password Administration supports authentication services for all networks in both the unclassified and classified environments\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
