We are seeking an Intern Summer \- Business Undergrad

Sandia National Laboratories CFO and Business Operations Division 10000 is seeking enrolled college students who are seeking undergraduate summer internships with Sandia to support the business needs of the Laboratories\.

The Mission Services Talent Acquisition Team \(MSTAT\) is hosting this job requisition for these positions at the Lab\. MSTAT is active in identifying candidates with relevant academic and work experience in an effort to provide valuable internships, build a pipeline for possible future regular employment, and to meet near\-term project deliverables\.

Selected applicants will be interviewed by an MSTAT subcommittee of managers from across the Laboratory\. Subsequently, the successful applicants will be entered into the internship program and will be provided to organization managers for placement based on internship interests and project needs\. Those selected are expected to commit to ten \(10\) to fourteen \(14\) weeks of employment over the summer\. In addition to a primary project, the program consists of on\-boarding meetings, tours of the Laboratories, possible group projects, networking events, and a project presentation to the CFO and Division Management\.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Team with others to support Sandia's mission by adding value, improving operations, offering innovative solutions and appropriately managing risk for the corporation\.
+ Work will reside within specific organizations at Sandia\.

Applicants must submit a current copy of their resume to be considered for this position\.

In addition to a resume listing cumulative GPA's for all degrees, a letter of introduction addressing career goals and areas of primary technical interest/focus, and four references \(names and contact information\) are required\.

List any academic awards, relevant work experience related to your degree, certifications received, demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and prior relationship with a national laboratory or with DOE in the letter of introduction or on the resume\.

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time \(or scheduled to graduate in the spring\) in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.0/4\.0
+ Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U\.S\. citizenship

+ Customer service experience
+ Experience working in a business area such as: Budgeting, Accounting, Project Management, Audit, or Supply chain
+ Demonstrated leadership outside of academics, including student organizations and community service

Department Description:

Organization is a multi\-disciplined team of scientists and engineers responsible for the implementation of systems analysis and engineering for nuclear fuel cycle evaluations and radioactive waste management\. The Department works with other organizations both internal and external to Sandia to develop the scientific basis for predicting the behavior and performance of facilities and systems, with a focus on the back\-end of the nuclear fuel cycle\. We provide technical\- and science\-based approaches to systems analysis, systems engineering, and knowledge management\. Examples of activities within the department include screening fuel cycles to identify the most promising future fuel cycles, performance assessment of repository concepts, research and development of deep borehole disposal of nuclear waste, evaluation of uncertainty and variability in system\-level performance, and nuclear fuel cycle database development\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
