Job Description

:

We are seeking a SIP GRAD PROFESSIONAL TECH

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Create/maintain SharePoint sites
+ Create surveys and questionnaires using SharePoint or other tool that can also assist with data analysis
+ Create/run queries against various databases \(SQL knowledge would be beneficial\)
+ Maintain/upgrade our TeamMate audit software \(add user fields, program reports, upgrade databases, upgrade to a new release, etc\.\)
+ Assist with the identification of various information technology risks to systems, including financial, operational, or compliance risks, and makes recommendations for corrective actions and mitigation\.
+ Review audit work papers and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and logical conclusions to provide tools for effective risk mitigation through the implementation and adherence to recognized auditing standards\.
+ Examine records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements, and policies\.
+ Assist with the conduct of audits\.
+ Participate in risk assessments in support of annual audit plan and specific audits\.
+ Evaluate and recommend improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures\.

Required:

The successful candidate must meet the following Sandia Student Intern Requirements: Official acceptance into an accredited university's graduate program, full\-time enrollment \(typically 9 credit hours\), a minimum cumulative GPA of 3\.5/4\.0, the ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40

hours per week during the summer\. U\.S\. citizenship\.

+ Experience with software development and software development life\-cycle concepts\.
+ Knowledge of IT hardware, operating systems, networks, telecommunications, databases and applications and their associated cyber security controls\.
+ Analytical skills to investigate IT systems \(hardware and software\)\.
+ Experience, knowledge, and curiosity to learn and use commercial off\-the\-shelf software as well as home grown software\.

Desired:

+ Knowledge of the following will be beneficial: SharePoint, SQL, NIST\.
+ Knowledge of auditing standards and techniques, including effective interviewing skills\.
+ Knowledge of architecture, infrastructure, and local area and wide area networking principles and concepts, including bandwidth management\.
+ Ability to analyze network designs and physical installations for compliance with security program requirements\.
+ Pursuing a graduate degree with focus in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
