Job Description

:

We are seeking a Quality Systems Professional

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Establish and oversee key aspects of the institution's enterprise risk management program efforts, such as developing and administrating elements of the program, training and coaching employees, working with leadership, and driving change throughout the organization\.
+ Be a partner, champion and change agent for high quality results within the risk management domain at Sandia\.
+ Establish and deploy strategic plans, policies, processes, procedures, and tools at the institutional level so risk management efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations\.

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline plus two or more years of relevant experience; or doctorate in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience\. \(Relevant disciplines may include Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems, Quality Engineering Management, Production Engineering, or comparable discipline\)\.
+ Writing and other work product samples will be required if interviewed\.

Desired:

+ GPA of 3\.2 for Bachelors and 3\.5 for Masters, or higher
+ Responsible for the leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's operational and strategic risk as it pertains to Sandia’s Quality Management System\.
+ Develops Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework\.
+ Ensures the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable quality and assurance orders and strategic imperatives of the organization\.
+ Establishes and stewards the Enterprise Risk Management architecture for the company\.
+ Oversees or monitors operational risk management activities of the organization\.
+ Monitors and analyzes risks within the company's business units and reports on these risks to Sandia’s management, including executives\.
+ Chairs or provides key inputs into the company's enterprise risk or other committee that oversees the enterprise risk management process and ensures alignment with organizational objectives\.
+ Serves in the capacity of Sandia’s domain expert in risk management\.
+ Experience and application of system analysis and integration methods
+ Demonstrated ability to develop strategic direction, tactical actions, and follow through on implementation under multiple constraints, including experience in taking a vision from concept to implementation
+ Demonstrated skills in working with leadership, communicating leadership decisions, principles and intent and translating those decisions into change
+ Demonstrated successful leadership in change management through influence \(such as mentoring, coaching, partnering and networking\)
+ Experience in conducting and or designing systems\-level evaluations which offer continuous learning opportunities for assessors and people being assessed\.
+ Experience assessing and improving quality\-related processes and systems\.
+ Experience applying quality practices within the context of R&D, production, and service areas across diverse business units\.\-Experience implementing management systems in a corporate setting\.
+ Translates requirements \(including contractual, regulatory, customer and external industry benchmark/certification\) into quality management system related processes, tools, and practices\.
+ Experience in project management tools, techniques and execution
+ Prior change agent experience based on an understanding of how to communicate and work with all segments of a diverse workforce especially in the absence of clear direction with much ambiguity\.
+ Experience in an industry or Sandia environment requiring frequent rigorous application of quality\-related principles\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\)\-granted L\-level security clearance\.
