Job Description

Description

The accounting internship is designed to offer hands-on accounting experience in a professional business environment.

Examples of Duties

* Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts


* Prepare journal entries and cash receipts


* Review and monitor daily activity


* Review agreements and their applicability to assigned general ledger accounts


* Research and correct account discrepancies


* Perform month-end closings and review financials for variances
* Additional duties as assigned

Typical Qualifications

Preferred Skill Sets:

* Proficient with general office software programs


* Knowledge of GAAP and GASB
* Must have B average or better in Accounting courses
