General Description

Location: Austin, TXSamsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is looking for talented engineering and science graduates from the Spring 2017 graduating classes to join our industry leading company through our College Orientation Program (CORP) in Austin, Texas! Engineers who join SAS through CORP begin employment with a multi-week, comprehensive orientation and technical training program. This unique program, started in 1996, is designed to give new engineers an overview of the company's processes and operations, as well as a base knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing principles. In addition to dedicated mentors, CORP members work closely together and form relationships that can endure throughout their careers. After training is complete, our engineers begin working in one of the following areas: Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities Engineering, Systems Technology or Quality. SAS' high volume manufacturing operations run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our engineers support initiatives targeting increased production capacity, improved process capability, higher product quality, and lower production costs. Responsibilities include process integration and optimization, yield improvement, equipment installation support, and troubleshooting.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

* BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science-GPA Requirement: 3.0 or above-Graduation Date: May 2016 - May 2017-Start Date Availability: June 2017-Able to work in the US without Visa sponsorship (this includes F1, Student or Scholar Visas as well that will require future visa sponsorship)
