Job Description

About the Challenge
As a Developer supporting the Release Management team, you will combine your passion for software development with cross-team collaboration to innovate and accelerate feature development in the internal applications we use to deliver software and infrastructure changes for our customer-facing service. You will catalyze our move toward our goals of automated and autonomous operations.
Your playing field will be Salesforce's Force.com Platform, including Apex (a Java-like programming language) and Visualforce. We believe that learning new technologies is part of the fun, and you will have access to tools and training.

About the Team
Salesforce's Release Management Team is a collaborative, fast-moving group thriving in a diverse culture of rapid delivery, (r)evolution, and innovation. Our top priority is to ensure a great customer experience as we release a constant flow of change across our products and infrastructure. Release Managers are motivated, adventurous, and invested in disrupting internal process while preserving customer trust.

About the Expectations
You earned your bachelor's degree in CS or a related field through a dedicated mix of technical ability and self-motivating curiosity. You leveraged your work and internship experience to deepen a demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming and design, and are comfortable using your analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to boldly tackle problems through clean, scalable code. You have a history of grasping unfamiliar technology by the horns, and integrating new skills and knowledge into a portfolio of successful, Web-based solutions that meet or exceed initial expectations.
You have 2+ years work experience. Required skills include Java (or equivalent programming language), web technologies (including JavaScript and CSS), requirements definition and implementation design, test development, and strong oral and written communication. Bonus points for having a Salesforce developer certification or experience with Apex, Visualforce, and agile methodologies.
We encourage you to be courageous and ask questions, partner with Release Managers to challenge the status quo, lead cross-functional teams in developing solutions, and leverage data to dispute assumptions and perceived constraints. You'll look for mentorship opportunities among senior developers to broaden your skillset and technical knowledge. You are comfortable owning and instilling accountability in others to achieve results.

We'd love to see what you've built. So if you've got them, send us links to your Github, Gitorious, SourceForge accounts or links to personal or hobby apps/sites/programs that make you proud.
