Job Summary:

As a software engineer, you will join our Core Infrastructure group. These teams deliver the infrastructure that drives salesforce.com, from high durable data storage using Oracle, HBase and others, to search technologies using Solr, to networking and load balancing using Java, Jetty and Netty. Here you will have the oppotunity to design, develop, and optimize our highly available, distributed backend systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement major pieces of the salesforce.com automation framework with release workflows for system builds and capacity expansions Code in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development Work closely with Quality Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Operations to develop, test, and deploy highly useful, high quality software Analyze, design and develop test cases and implement automated test suites Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovation that improves salesforce.com
Required Skills:
BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
Academic, professional or internship experience with Java
Understanding of object-oriented programming/design
Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Desired Skills:
Coursework in SQL and relational database concepts
Experience developing large software systems
Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
